So, I am ready to get my creative juices flowing, but first I need to evaluate my goals and the timeline I want to work on.  For my vision board, I am going to focus on the next twelve months.  The areas I have decided to focus on are:

Health and Fitness
Spirituality
Career
Relationships

You may decide to only focus on one area or you may have more categories, it's up to you.

For the purpose of this blog and to help you understand what to add to your vision board, I am going to give you an example of a goal for each of these categories.

Health:  My goal is to have overall better health which means working out 5 times per week, drinking more water and eating healthy food.  The result I am looking for is to be fit and lean. I want to run at least 1 race this year.
Spirituality:  My goal is to pray and meditate everyday.  I want to go on a spiritual retreat. The result I am looking for is inner peace and a slower pace.
Career:  My goal is to have 10 consistent clients in my coaching business, 4 workshops, a positive psychology endeavor with others and monthly newsletters and blogs that are being read.  I will get my coaching certification in October 2012!
Family:  My goal is to have a happy, healthy, peaceful, joyful family.  We will go on 2 vacations before my oldest graduates from high school.

The next step is to think about how best to represent these goals on your vision board.  Next week, we will begin creating our boards, but begin thinking about how it will look.  Will it have photos, magazine cut outs, numbers, words, affirmations?  Remember, this should reflect your personality and your vision for the future.

THIS IS YOUR VISION, DREAM BIG!
